Acclaimed filmmaker Ondi Timoner's (Dig!, We Live in Public) latest film is a deeply personal chronicling of the final days of her 92-year-old father, Eli, as he chooses to end his own life (legally, under California law).

Behind a white picket fence, on an unremarkable suburban street, we discover Eli Timoner, who founded Air Florida, the fastest growing airline in the world in the 1970's. During his final days, we learn about his extraordinary life filled with incredible success and devastating setbacks, and most importantly, an innate goodness which won him the enduring love and support of his family.

Through stunning verité footage recorded by his middle child, Last Flight Home takes audiences on a heart-wrenching ride through Timoner’s life, illustrating a modern day success story built on the power of human connection.

“A moving, boundlessly humane documentary. Amazingly intimate . At once a memorial to Eli, the last of that generation of the family to die, and — almost incidentally — a philosophical argument about how death can be faced well. Critic’s Pick.” — The New York Times

“Profound in its simplicity, wrenching in its honesty, and beautiful in its humanity, Last Flight Home is the blessing Eli Timoner earned.” -  The Wrap

“An intimate and moving look at a father’s final days. Ondi Timoner, the director of We Live in Public and Dig, captures her father’s decision to exercise his rights under California’s End of Life Option Act… Timoner chronicles this entire process with affection and sobriety.” – Hollywood Reporter

“Unflinching, but is very much a film of love and understanding” - Screen
